How do you store your knives?
If you have your knives lying in a cluttered kitchen drawer, then you have a good explanation for why your knives might not be as sharp as when you bought them.
The messy drawer is your knives' worst nightmare!
First and foremost, the knives become dull because they are very exposed to impacts. Furthermore, there is a great risk that you chip off a piece of the blade or break the knife tip - not to mention the risk of cutting yourself when you reach your hand down into the drawer.
Fortunately, there are plenty of good alternatives to the messy drawer!
Alternatives that are both more gentle on your knives, your fingers, and are more hygienic.
Knife block

You may have already guessed it.
The knife block is (perhaps) the most popular alternative to the messy drawer, and there is a good reason for this: The knife block requires no installation and is a beautiful addition to your kitchen counter.
We have produced our knife block in natural oak wood, which while being incredibly beautiful is also antibacterial.
The knife block is therefore a very hygienic and practical way for you to store your knives.
Knife magnet
Yet another popular alternative to the messy drawer.
If you are as passionate about your kitchen knives as we are, then you probably also think that a knife magnet is the most elegant way to showcase your knives.
The knife magnet is a gentle and elegant way for you to store your knives - and is moreover super hygienic!
Knife magnet in wood or metal?
It may not come as a surprise to you - but a metal knife magnet is not very gentle on your knives!
The hard metal will actually scratch and chip your knives, and will dull them over time.
So even though the metal knife magnet is a cheaper alternative, we still think that a wooden knife magnet is worth every penny.
It is gentler on your knives - and protects them against scratches and impacts.
At the same time, wood is naturally antibacterial, which makes a wooden knife magnet more hygienic.
Organize your messy drawer

If you insist on having your knives lying in the kitchen drawer, then you need to organize the messy drawer.
That's why a knife holder, a knife sheath or the original knife boxes are a must.
With these three alternatives, you get your knives organized in your drawer, and thereby avoid your knives (and your fingers) from taking damage.
However, the knife holder and the original knife boxes require quite a lot of space - and take up an entire drawer in most cases.
